Welcome to BassetsRus blog. We hope to post from day to day about life here at the ranch with nearly 20 bassets hounds. We are a retirement /sanctuary community and share our house and lives with numerous bassets.

We focus primarily on senior citizens but just recently had the pleasure of fostering an 8 week old bouncing basset boy for nearly a month. We named him Woody and he went to his forever home this past weekend.

He managed to keep all the senior houndies very busy and they spent a lot of time informing him of the proper ways of "bassetude". Since his leaving they are resting uninterupted.

Have a great day,
Kim and the hounds

Kim,

It's Sarah (former foster coordinator and baset mom of the late great Beowulf). Glad to see you're still helping out those wonderful seniors. I hope the situation is working out well for you. You've been a great friend of bassets for many years, and it looks like you're continuing to do great work to help out the hounds. Give my best to everyone back in the "most of America" region.

Kim,

I imagine there was tons of howling after the AZ Cardinals lost to the Bears Monday night. I know the 3-Amigos were very, very disappointed in their performance. They were also a little angry b/c they know mom has to put up w/ extra traffic every time they play! (That delays our dinner time!!!) Oh well...the stadium is awesome and the weather is beautiful! More pics please!

AROOOS from the great Southwest!
